Cookie policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026. A category-by-category list of every cookie this site uses, and how to opt out.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are tiny text files saved to your browser when you visit a site. They are used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is performing. This site uses three categories of cookies.
2. Categories
Essential cookies (always on)
These keep you signed in to your account and remember the contents of your cart between page loads. The site does not work properly without them, so they cannot be turned off from a banner. They live only on your device.
- PHPSESSID -- session identifier; expires when you close the browser.
- flavorprotectionrecipes_cart -- your cart contents in localStorage; cleared when you check out or remove items.
- flavorprotectionrecipes_cookie_ok -- remembers that you dismissed our cookie bar.
Analytics cookies (Plausible)
We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and identify popular recipes. Plausible is privacy-respecting and does not use cookies that follow you across sites. You can opt out by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser.
Advertising cookies (Microsoft Advertising UET)
Microsoft Advertising UET drops a cookie that lets Microsoft attribute visits and purchases to ads we have run on Bing and the Microsoft Audience Network. This is how we measure whether our ads are working. The cookie is called MUID and is set by Microsoft directly.
You can opt out of Microsoft Advertising personalization at account.microsoft.com/privacy, and from interest-based ads industry-wide at optout.aboutads.info.
3. Browser-level controls
Every modern browser lets you block or clear cookies. The exact path depends on the browser, but they are typically under Settings -- Privacy or Security. Doing so may sign you out of your account and clear your cart, but the rest of the site will keep working.
4. Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a signal to opt you out of our analytics cookies. Essential cookies still load -- we cannot run the site without them.
5. Updates
If we add a new cookie or change the category of an existing one, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will trigger a fresh cookie banner so you have to agree again.
6. Questions
