Disclaimer
Last updated: May 1, 2026. The legal disclaimers that govern the recipes and content on this site.
1. Advertising disclosure
This site may receive compensation when you click certain links or make purchases. Some of our content may include sponsored placements -- these are always identified at the start of the relevant page. When we recommend products in the kitchen store, we have tested them in our own kitchen; we do not accept money to recommend specific brands.
2. Nutritional information
Where nutritional information is provided, it is approximate and based on commonly available USDA data for typical ingredient brands. Actual values may vary depending on the specific brand, cut, ripeness, or preparation. Our recipes are not intended to be medical or dietary advice. Anyone with specific dietary requirements -- diabetes, kidney disease, eating disorders, or anything else -- should consult a registered dietitian or a doctor before changing eating habits.
3. Allergen warnings
We list ingredients clearly on every recipe, but ingredients can change at the supplier level without notice. If you have a serious food allergy, read every ingredient label every time. We do not claim our recipes are free of any specific allergen unless that recipe explicitly says so.
4. Food safety
Our recipes assume basic food safety knowledge: refrigerate raw meat, cook poultry to 165 degrees F, wash hands and surfaces, do not leave hot food at room temperature for more than two hours. We follow standard USDA food safety guidelines when writing recipes, but ultimately you are responsible for safe food handling in your own kitchen.
5. General information only
Articles, blog posts, and journal entries on this site reflect the opinions of the author and our test kitchen. They are intended for general information and are not professional advice on cooking, equipment, nutrition, or any other topic. We try to be accurate; if you spot an error, please write to us.
6. Third party links
We link out to other websites for context. We do not control those sites, and a link does not imply endorsement of every position they hold or product they sell. If you have a problem with a third-party site we have linked to, please write to info@flavorprotection.com and we will investigate.
7. Results may vary
A recipe is a starting point. Equipment differs, altitudes differ, ingredient quality differs. We test in a Florida kitchen at sea level with average-quality grocery store ingredients. Your results may differ. That is fine and normal -- cooking is craft, not chemistry.
8. Questions
If you have a question about anything on this page, write to info@flavorprotection.com.
