Is the membership really free for 30 days?
Yes, in full. You can use every recipe in the library, read every journal post, and access member-only kitchen store discounts during the 30 day trial. You can cancel any time before day 30 and you will not be charged.
What is in the recipe library, exactly?
One hundred and fifteen recipes across ten cuisines -- Italian, Mexican, American Classic, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Japanese, French, Mediterranean, and Southern. Roughly half are free to anyone; the other half unlock with a membership.
How are the recipes tested?
Every recipe is cooked at least twice: once by the developer and once by a tester who has never seen the dish before. About a third of recipes change between rounds. What you read is the rewrite.
Will the recipes work in my kitchen?
They are tested on home equipment -- standard stovetop, home oven, a basic set of pans. We test in a Florida kitchen at low altitude and average humidity. Adjustments for high altitude, induction, and unfamiliar cuts are called out in the recipe when relevant.
Can I print recipes?
Yes. Every recipe page has a clean print layout. We do not put paywalls on the printing step -- if you have access, you can print.
How do I cancel my membership?
Send an email to <?php echo COMPANY_EMAIL; ?> with the word "cancel" in the subject, and we will cancel within one business day. You can also cancel from your account page. We do not require a phone call.
What is your return policy on store items?
Thirty days from delivery. Items must be unused or unopened. We pay return shipping on defective items; you pay return shipping on change-of-mind returns. See the full refund policy for the details.
Why no social media?
We send our work to people through email, the journal, and the recipe library. Social media is great for distribution but has a particular pace and tone that does not match how we want to write recipes. Maybe one day; for now, no.
Do you ship internationally?
Right now we ship to the US and Canada. International shipping for the store is on our list for late 2026. The recipe library is available worldwide.
Are the recipes gluten-free or vegan friendly?
Each recipe is labeled with its category, time, difficulty, and rating; allergens are listed by ingredient. We have not built a separate gluten-free or vegan section yet, but you can filter the search by category to find dishes that fit. Many of our Mediterranean and Indian recipes are naturally vegetarian.
Where is the company based?
Niceville, Florida. Our test kitchen and team are all in town. The store ships from a warehouse in Pensacola.
How do I report a recipe error?
Use the contact form and tell us which recipe and where the error is. We rotate corrections into the live library within a week and credit you in the changelog if you give us your name.
Can I gift a membership?
Yes -- email us at <?php echo COMPANY_EMAIL; ?> and we will set up a gift code for any duration up to one year. Bulk gifts for offices and culinary schools are available with a small discount.
Do you have an app?
Not yet. The site is built mobile-first and works well on a phone in a kitchen. An app is on the long-term roadmap.
