Privacy policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

1. What we collect

We collect the email address you give us at sign-up, the name on your account, and (if you make a purchase) your shipping address and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number -- that runs through our payment processor.

We also collect basic web analytics: pages viewed, country, device type, and referring URL. We use this to know which recipes need clearer instructions.

2. Why we collect it

  • To deliver the recipes, store orders, and membership you signed up for.
  • To send you the email reminders you have asked for (renewal, shipping, password reset).
  • To improve the site based on usage data (which pages get read, which get skipped).
  • To respond when you contact us.

3. Microsoft Advertising disclosure

This site uses Microsoft Advertising UET (Universal Event Tracking) to measure ad performance and improve targeting. UET drops a cookie that lets Microsoft know you visited us after seeing one of our ads. You can opt out of personalized Microsoft Advertising at account.microsoft.com/privacy, and from interest-based ads industry-wide at optout.aboutads.info.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for three reasons: keeping you signed in (essential), basic analytics (Plausible), and Microsoft Advertising measurement (described above). See our cookie policy for a category-by-category breakdown.

5. Your rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to opt out of "sale" of personal information (we do not sell), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these. To exercise these rights, write to info@flavorprotection.com.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict processing, and erase your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, write to info@flavorprotection.com; we respond within 30 days.

7. Retention schedule

Account data: kept while your account is active and for 24 months after deletion to handle billing disputes, then permanently deleted. Order data: kept for 7 years for tax purposes (US accounting rule). Web analytics: aggregated only, no personal identifiers, kept indefinitely.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone in that age group. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please write to us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will post a notice on this page and (for active members) email you. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.

10. Contact

For any privacy question, write to FLAVORS OF COLOMBIA LLC, 1415 CEDAR STREET, NICEVILLE, FL 32578, USA, or email info@flavorprotection.com.
